Why do we have to read?

The short answer is that this is an English class and we read. The real answer is that reading supports you in so many ways. Reading strengthens your vocabulary and writing skills. Reading also enhances your imagination and helps expand your knowledge base. Reading stimulates your brain by improving your memory and focus and boosting your mood.
